Ability to ‘shoot yourself’ removed from Sony VR demo

Why include it in the first place?

An interesting idea in a game though. Why remove this though when it's perfectly possible to kill yourself in a variety of other ways - driving a car fast into a building, for example?

IMO, without being a part of the story it just gets treated as a gimmick by developer and everyone else. It seemingly wasn't integral. Plus they appear to have panicked. Then realised the hype potential of the quote...

Imagine a way out of a situation in a game is to shoot yourself, and you get a chance that it will be a genuine game over moment, meaning you have to start again. Or, as I think David Braben once suggested, the game wipes itself and you can never play it again. The other option would be to continue, gain more powers.

Actually looking forward to Morpheus. I'd like to see what it can do.

I actually had envisioned that, based on that Tom Cruise film with so many regional titles I can't remember one of them. Even though I've seen it.

'Live Die Repeat' - although they changed the name to that for the DVD/BR release. The cinema release was called 'Edge of Tomorrow'. Not at all confusing.

That's the one. It's not a bad film, it's just it feels like it's blatantly stealing from video games and a million sci-fi films without being subtle about it. Though I spose the whole lot's truly meta at this point lol.

PSN isn't working for me at the moment, even though I'm downloading a massive update... Oh, wait, it's a public holiday, isn't it? Well, that always seems to happen.
