Until now, only 1 user hasn't, and she has a BIOS password set!

Not strictly relevant, but anyone who's considering using exchange for their email server in an SME would do well to consider Kerio.

Grr!

The dutch suppliers, who used to look after the kit here set password on one site, for the AV software. The problem is, there is no documentation here on the password!

Looks like I'll be out of here a bit earlier... Although I'll still have to do the work at a later date.

SAV's default password is symantec
There's also a remindme.exe in the program directory.

There was no remindme file in the program directory :(

After I had shutdown half the machines, I found a password reset utility... But I'll try it during the week... I'm not driving 300 miles to turn 20 PCs back on!

At least all of the servers are up to date now. But I don't like rebooting server 8 or 10 times...

I really wish:
1. Microsoft would work out that servers shouldn't be rebooted all the time (workstations as well, for that matter).
2. When updating a machine, I could apply one cumulative patch which updates my machine to the current patch level!

We have 7 servers and around 70 PCs which have never been upgraded! Even with WSUS installed, it is still a monumental pain.

BTW, why doesn't automatic update install the udates automatically, when set to "download and install"? It downloads them, but waits for the administrator to log in before it installs the patches (XP workstations). I don't call that automatically installing!

I've been through GPedit.msc and changed all the settings to download from the WSUS server, automatically download and install, don't reboot after install. But the machines still wait for an administrator to log in!
