My boyfriend used to run up huge bills until I changed the contract. He spent all his minutes talking to his Mum - boy can they both talk! Mind you she does live in Cornwall now. A new girl will do it though

It is partly the new girl (a fact that I can't even get excited about right now). But mostly, I just can't shut the [LIFTED] up. Feeling pretty [LIFTED] now tbh. Was considering a new PC/upgrades, but more importantly, I've managed to clear £3000 in debt in the last 12mths. And I really wanted to take a holiday soon as I've had a pretty tough year. Meeting said girl felt like finally as was getting cut a break by the universe and I could relax and enjoy life for 5 minutes. I refer to my sentiments from a week ago:

If it's any consolation I've had a very [LIFTED] year. Bad stuff does happen, you're right. BUT if bad stuff didn't happen how would we enjoy the good stuff? It's a new year in a couple of months. Fingers crossed it's better than this one - it sure as hell can't get much worse!
Who said life begins at 40 coz it bloody well aint for me.

Got to pay the bills today. Got to pay about 12,000€ today! Stamp duty, solicitors fees and agent's fee! Edit: Sorry to hear about your bill. Makes me kind of glad I've got a flatrate contract.

A new year can start right now if you want - it doesn't have to coincide with the Gregorian calendar. Just a thought. (BTW +1 for a [LIFTED] year so far)

I know exactly where you are now. I've been there before a couple of tmes. The only consolation I can provide is that I have always managed to bounce back. It may be [LIFTED] at the moment but don't let it get to you. The only thing you can do now is start as though today is the first day. That way you start from where you are with no bills to pay and nothing to worry about.

I had to turn in my work phone, after 10 years of not having to pay for a single mobile phone call, I'm back down to earth with a bump. Tight barstewards wouldn't let me buy the number off the company, some gubbins about commercial sensitivity and stealing customers. Sure, I'm really in a position to do that! I'll just buy a few quarries and asphalt plants and then grab their market share! I've bought a PAYG sim, I put £20 on it 5 weeks ago and still have about £7 left. No contract for me, TYVM.
