I'm so glad everyone's feelin the vibes today! Awesomeness My parents just took me to lunch to celebrate and in a minute I'm gonna sit in the shower for a decade and sort out my necrotic foot. It's really, really minging. I've been told that my physio starts Friday and I'll then have a main checkup in four weeks. Tried walking a little bit and it's very, very painful, but I'm feeling really good. Thanks again.

It's good to share What did you do, try and block something heavy with your shin? Happy you're on the mend and in good spirit.

Yeah, figured everyone would wanna know. Be grateful I spared you pics I fractured my fibula when I rolled the ankle badly after throwing a heavy guy over my shoulder at ninjutsu. May not be training for a while, but the consultant today said I should try surfing! Being as I live in the arguable surfing capital of the country I should probably look into that

Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere where sport was more accessible. Then I remember what a waste of time sport is, PC FTW!

My surgeon got it wrong the first time he tried to get me to stand up without my splints. Silly optimist!

How are you finding the metal plate okenbi ? I had to have one put in in the middle of last August after i also rolled my ankle and fractured the fibula, after a slip on the stairs mind you not as "cool" as throwing a heavy guy during ninjitsu . TBH it's still not back to 100% and it feels off at the tissue surrounding the plate which aches every now and again as if the muscle is constantly strained... especially so if i go on a run, however i put that down to me forfeiting most excercise lol. Also mind banging the outside (i assume that's where the plate is if it's like mine and on the fibula) on anything... i know it sounds obvious but even a careless knock is stupidly painful due to the pin being located there. Also it's still swollen after all this time and have been told it can last till a year

Hope you get better soon, watersports'll be the best for your recovery I reckon!
....
The non-dirty watersports.
Anyway whenever I want to go surfing it's an hour and a half to scarborough or six hours to cornwall - Don't waste living in cornwall!
Surfing is AMAZING. Best feeling in the world, so peaceful yet exhilarating.
I'd imagine that snowboarding would be safe for you to try too seeing as your feet/ankles are strapped in rather thoroughly though i'm not exactly an expert physio =/
