Presumably from the nursery rhyme?

Depending how sharp you want it, it avoids the sweetness of using lemonade. Either 1/3 BL 2/3 OJ or about 50:50 its very refreshing.

This thread is confusing. In the OP the 'Cat said he's been t-total for three months then further down the first page he says he enjoys a glass or two of wine with dinner. I don't mean to be a pain about this, but as someone that's a long time non-alcoholic drinker I'm gonna stand up (metaphorically) and say you can't do both. Either don't drink or don't say you're t-total.

Ok I'm going daft but where does he say that? I said I enjoy a glass or 2 with dinner.

As did I. There may be a slight misapprehension going on, Mark.

I had been considering this, but then last night I had several drinks. I enjoyed it.
However, I want to be healthier generally and I'm also a little over the childish aspect. Perhaps more the company I currently have more than anything, but that's another thread.
I have a question though, what CAN you drink in a pub that isn't bad for you? Does anybody just not drink anything whilst friends drink alcoholic drinks? Coke and lemonade aren't exactly loads better for you than alcohol...

I don't really drink drinks with sugar in, which rules out most things. I do sometimes drink ginger ale, which I really like but it's stupidly expensive in those silly little bottles in pubs. Now and then I'll have coke or OJ and lemonade, but more than one makes me quite ill. I usually just drink soda water. I really like soda water, and I can drink it by the pint. The hardest thing is convincing people not to put something in it! Of course, I'm not tea-total so it's only if I'm driving that I have this problem.

I would probably drink vodka and Coke if someone handed it to me in a pub (that's about the only drink, and it's rare that I'm in a pub), otherwise I doubt I'll ever buy alcohol for myself ever again. I never missed it since I stopped (luckily), and I prefer the money in my pocket - I wouldn't have anywhere near the deposit I'll need for moving out if I hadn't stopped drinking...

Most pubs sell bottled water, but you can generally ask for a glass of tap water, I find.

So was I. Have you seen what they put in those "fruit" juices?
