I really don't think that pubs don't give off bad vibes.

It depends on what you'd consider a "vibe" exactly. Like I said above, there are some pubs make me feel very uncomfortable. Some have fights all the time, and other's are meat markets. Now they're smoke-free, I think you can actually smell the fear.

I meant that I had taken a tuning fork and struck the side of several drinking establishments and it almost always resulted in a rather pleasing tone.

But I get what you're saying about a few places being rough houses.

The other important point here, is not everyone is aware of certain "vibes". For many people, it probably doesn't bother them. Personally, I work hard to be self-aware and aware of others and the world around me, both physical and otherwise. Other people are not interested and will label me a tree-hugging hippie. Each to their own. On that subject Lev, damaging your body affects your spirit in the same way that a strong spirit can help to heal and maintain your body. The two are inextricably linked.

Bratty, what are you trying to acheive? Have you felt anything specific yourself, whether in your body, mind, or spirit, that led you to post. Or was it prompted by your friends statement?

Ok, so are you able to articulate what you've felt when drinking/in pubs? And have you noticed any change since cutting back?

sounds tricky to explain in text form  just dont see the point in it anymore when all it does is give a false "mask" of confidence and approachability your true self, or like an alternative self, or sometimes its a kick in the face with the level of confidence you get, I can achieve the exact same confidence with constant positive thinking and just being happy with myself which is very very rare, and when I reach that state (when sober) I actually feel constantly drunk in a sense

Also a thing to note if im drunk whatever I say I actually very much so mean, I know theres lots of people who can be drunk and spout a load of rubbish and regret it the next day, but with me and im sure lots of others, they just say what they would like to say but may seem inappropiate when sober if that makes sense

Different drugs affect different people in different ways. If you feel that you get less benefits than unwanted detrimental effects from anything, stop doing it. Simple as.

In this case, maybe there's nothing more than that going on here.

Rosy cheeks take a lot of booze. The "etc." can happen very suddenly!

I'm not going to recount my drunken mistakes, but it's enough to say I only escaped arrest with dumb luck and good friends on more than one occasion.

The only example I'm going to give; I got thrown out of a very quiet strip club before I actually got to see any dancers perform... because I fell asleep

It's not the rosy cheeks you have to worry about, it's the funny shade of yellow that you may eventually turn as your liver gives up! Lost my old man that way. Not nice.
