That's not too bad. I'm £780 for the year (fully comp). Quite frankly, scandalous.

I paid over £2000.00 last year and got it for £800.00 this year after a bit of haggling with Churchill. Oh yes! Peter.

But I'm a driving instructor, and my car has 2 sets of brakes. It should be next to nothing.

it could be worse... you can practically hear the insurance company go 'KER-CHING!' when they ask for your post code and you say 'NE'

I was with Co-Op for years as they "guarantee" your max NCB for unlimited claims (or they did) not a "2 claims in 5 years" rule like some others.
Sadly they rocketed prices up one year so shopped around and ended up with Tesco - did it all via their website - from quote to acceptance etc - paperwork came a few days later. If you need to speak to them then thats no problem and its a UK based call centre.

I did exactly the same. I did my research and found they were offering the same insurance to new customers at a significantly reduced price. After a bit of negotiation, they price matched this and also knocked a bit off. My awful bank decided to decline the transaction, so I don't think I was the most popular customer at Churchill that day! Peter.

If I was to get insurance I'd be looking at about £1,300 for 3rd Party. My mum pays £130 fully-comprehensive.

In the past few years or so, Tesco have always been cheapest for both our cars a Hyundai Tucson V6 (06 plate) and a Honda S2000 (02 plate) I always find, the AA and RAC are the biggest rip offs !

Last time I went with Kwik-Fit Insurance (no, I didn't know they did insurance either!) and they were cheapest by about £40 - think it was something like £415 for a Ford Fiesta 1.4 in middle of Manchester.
Plus, when I got the documents through, you get a Kwik-Fit Discount Card that gets you 10% off any work done, plus a free MOT too. As my Ford warranty had just run out, this meant I didn't have to go back to Ford for their obscene service costs (£249) and I got a free MOT and a Service for just £50. Bargain!! I'd definitely recommend Kwik-Fit Insurance.

I just got my insurance renewal quote from Elephant … £725 is what it wants me to pay, and that's with a £150 compulsory excess. Unless I can get them to knock that down then I'll be changing insurers.

That's an outrage! I guess it has something to do with the accident last year, but that wasn't your fault.

Change insurers, they're having a laugh. Yes, the accident won't have helped, but I think they're gently telling you they don't want your business. Or at least that's how I see it. Time to shop around!

True. All costs from that have been recovered, I'm just waiting for the personal injuries claim to be settled now. Mark
