Are we talking about new unused Mars bars or used ones?

We recently boycotted our vending machines and started going to the newsagent across the road to buy stuff, our agent took the hint (because of the note we stuck to the front of the machine) and dropped the prices in the vending machines, so now a bar of chocolate and some crisps (hula hoops, nik naks etc) are 40p and the bigger bags of crisps (McCoys etc) are 50p. Bottled drinks (coke etc) went down to 80p from £1 so it's all good!! I'm off chocolate for the mostpart at the mo due to a broken tooth, but I still occasionally indulge in a bag of nik naks when I have money, which is even more rare nowadays!!

The machines here in work are a universal 50p for pretty much everything except Mini Cheddars that are 60p. The hot drinks machine is 15p a time, but I tend to bring my own tea in instead.

Same for me, but that's mainly because I drink hot chocolate and I appear to be in a minority so it's reduced. (8+) Mark

25p per drink here. All of Dad's last 3 offices have been free. All of mine have been 25p. I tend to bring my own drink making stuffs in.

I'd be surprised if it was that cheap to make one, David. Mark

No more than 40p, they seem to have pulled a double whammy in recent years by reducing the size and hiking the price. I wanted to buy a Twirl the other day and to my surprise it cost nearly 60p! As did Wispa, another chocolate bar where they've reduced the size. I ended up getting a small bar of Dairy Milk, which was 40p.

Yes the reduction in size as a way of increasing price hoping that the public do not notice. I wonder if the official figures take in to account such measures?

Mars Australia say that the reduction in size is to help combat obesity. They didn't reduce the price though.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

UK said that too before changing their minds and admitting it was for cost reasons

I worked in one place where they let you have 2 free drinks from the vending machine. Another place I worked (small company) kept the cupboards stocked with tea and coffee and the place I'm at now give you sod all. We do have a small kitchen area with kettle though so we contribute to our own tea fund.
And I bought a Mars Bar at lunch. It was 41p from Waitrose.
