When I went to visit my dad in the hospital in Lincoln I used to pay.. until I discovered that you can get a slip from reception that you feed into the machine which means you don't... have to... pay. Sorry, that sentence started out so well, but then it kinda got away from me. ;)

The problem is with hospitals they are looking at every possible way of raising money. This means overpriced parking. In brighton because the hospital did not want to provide parking spaces for the staff they negotiated with the council a parking permit scheme for around a mile in every direction. So now residents got one year free, but faced £110 a year parking permit charges. It did not help that the council are very anti car, with endless road works converting streets to pedestrian only areas.

hate to bring this up … but …
its hospital 'management' that puts this in place

they like to squeeze every penny out of anyone to ensure there 'bonuses'
being ill is not related to their bonus payments, but parking while receiving treatment is (profit)

'management' the lowest form of legalised scum that exists on this planet …

Yes i know that it is the hospital trust that set these fees. Though in Wales and Scotland they have either capped them at a low level or banned them IIRC.

So, all you've managed to do is acquire jobs in such crap companies that the management are rubbish. I can personally vouch that your statement is not correct and I've worked in a fair few companies where management have been excellent, my current employer in particular.

i was self employed, had my own business
thats why i 'own' my own house

company management do company business
and screw the workforce that works for them

unless, by magic, the management are the only ones to be able to do the job and create 'profit' for the company

i dont think so, but management will screw anybody, by company biding, if it suits there needs

ps (dont care about he spelling soory 'sorry') shrug …

So what do all the workers do when they've got no work? And what about people who manage the projects? They're not too concerned about the company. They want their project done.

good management utilizes the available workforce, trains them, then manage them and arranges everything they need to do the required work
not abuse them

rewards are shared
the company i ran it was a 60/40 split, all self-employed (along with all fuel bills paid)

every one earned and was happy and when the business was sold, i paid my mortgage off

what happened after that was not my concern, not my business …

It's a money making racket. I swear to Allah that every street in Cardiff is either double yellowed or is residents only - meaning you either have to pay for the permit or pay a fine.

Naturally there's still no guarantee you get to park on your own street - and you'll get fined for parking on an adjacent one! :x
