Either/any, depending on the mood, no particular choice wins. Not had any for ages though, I only buy unpopped stuff from the supermarket. Something about the laughingly insane profit margin on it at the cinema makes me choose hunger every time.

Well it is not exactly sugar. To be honest I am not too sure what it is. :?

I think it is caramel. I prefer the sweet popcorn as well.

Butter was butter, in my early teens. Used to have hot buttered popcorn in Glasgow - you'd end up with a puddle of congealed fat in the bottom of the carton. If you were lucky.
Sugared or salted is the only option these days, apparently. :(

I'm going by the likes of what Tesco sell, where sweet usually means butter when compared to the salted at least... I don't buy the stuff at the cinema cos of the markup :)

I'm sorry I started this

I was just curious about what people preferred from the two options given :)

Apparently, buttered = toffee.
In some weird popcorn world I've wandered into, naif like in my innocence.

Same here, that and the noise of eating it.

It's got to be 50/50.

I recently went into a cinema and asked for a portion of 50/50 and the bloke said no, when I asked why he said:
"I don't have a button for that on my till"
"But they're the same price" I said
"I know, but I can't do it without a buuton"

WTF? Idiot!!!!

He's not an idiot. He probably just didn't want to lose his job.

I've had similar problems working on tills in the past. Everything has to be accounted for accurately, so you're not allowed to put things through on the wrong code even if the cost is correct.

I recently had some buttered popcorn, the microwave stuff. Not particularly nice but munched through it anyway. Depends if I fancy some sweet or savoury food. If savoury, salted. If sweet, toffee. Not the buttered stuff though. So I'm choosing the salted option. Though if I make popcorn at home I don't add salt.

Sure, I've worked on a LOT of till systems. By far the worst I've ever used are the ones at Pizza Hut, but things can always be done to keep the customer happy.

He just didn't want to help me.

Where's the sweet option?

I like sweet the best.
I can eat buttered, but it gets a bit sickly after a while.
I hate salted.

Sweet popcorn. No other. I'm voting for Pie popcorn.

This is a mood-dependent question or answer in this case. I seldom have popcorn on my own so it depends on my mood, the wife's mood and the moon phase  The wife quite likes to snack on the microwave stuff when we're watching a dvd so we have both. I voted pie-flavoured in the absence of an 'either' option.
