I'm somewhat disappointed that there appears to be a lack of pastry based poll options up there.

Whatever you do, don't tell the people running this election how to do that! :D

It's all right. They have their own methods for that. Why do you think election observers go to places like Iran and Zimbabwe?

I am voting labour because I want a hung parliament. It will give the Liberals the best chance of Vince being chancellor. In my constituency the Liberals are so far behind that it will be a Tory who wins and that is worse. That said if they pass the Digital Economy Bill I will vote Liberal

I was wondering why I had to vote again.
Did I give you permission to edit my poll in the first place? ;)

Sorry  All polls must have a pie option, I think I need to add it to the rules

It is rule number 1. You need to make it official.

Do we have to vote on the mandatory pie option?

I'll be voting for any party other than Labour

Saw GB on telly the other day saying only the Labour Party could help get the country on to the road to recovery - wtf! It is his party that got us in this mess in the first place and now he wants another 5 years to feck it up even more  I dont think so.

This kind of opinion is why I was tempted to stay out of this thread.

I've voted pie because I think I'm the only one here who doesn't think that voting will have any influence on the direction of our country.
It's not Labour's fault we're in this mess. It's a combination of factors, including the political system itself; the red/blue switcharoo that John evidences above; the apathy of some people; the greed of others and many more things besides.

Voting Conservative doesn't change anything. They still would've invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. The economy would still be in this state. We still would've been lied to about loads of things including swine flu.

At the risk of sounding like a yoof - whatever innit

Yes but it feels really good to punish them as they were in charge at the time.

True but then but gets harder to blame somebody :D

Probably but they weren't in charge at the time. So we can't blame them. :D

The bottom line IMHO is that we, as a country, need to let off steam at somebody and in this case its the party that was in charge at the time. :D We'll feel much better afterwards even if we won't be any better off in reality. 8-)
