I kind of like the orange one personally. It's obviously a sports watch and would look good on the wrist of an active type.
I wouldn't wear it in a restaurant but then I have another watch for that.
As for the black one, to me it looks like it would be worn by your military-wannabe type - not good.

Both models are the Gulfman which has titanium parts to increase rust resistance and allow for continuing and prolonged exposure to water as part of its daily life. The MIMB series is designed to be stealthy and unassuming and takes it's inspiration from the thousands of military personnel who wear G Shocks on the job. I have no desire to pretend to be military, but I like the blackness of it. The MIRO series was inspired by people with demanding jobs up mountains, at sea and so on. It seems to be their colour. I do have a thing about the orange. Perhaps that's the point.

nowthere's a prime bit of sales pitch oriented story telling, 5 years as a infantryman and i would honestly say that most of the blokes would wear a simple analogue watch with phosphorescent painted hands, sorry but statements like that bug me do they have some sort of emergency signal emitting function ?? but if it was me i would get the black one just for the fact that its more discreet and could easily pass for day to day use, but i also get the feeling that these watches are like a e-peen thing, equipped with functions and the like you will never really use

Speaking of which impactweapon - I remember in school a couple of kids had some ridiculous all singing all dancing watches that had IR transceivers, mini keyboards and everything. I thought they were pretty crap until someone realised you can tune them in to act as a remote control. From that day on, videos in science were truly brilliant.

I think they'd look cool if you were wearing a Lycra jump suit and helmet. G-Force Transsss-mute!

Wouldn't that be DILLIGAF? My opinion from the Japanese niche market point of view would be go for the rescue orange. It stands out, makes a nice statement and I love the display. It won't go with anything and you might want to avoid wearing it to an ultra-conservative black tie event, but from a day-to-day wear and functional POV I like it!

That's something that should be easy to change. Open up the watch and turn/rotate the polarising filter, I have only done it with calculators many, many years ago but the principle is the same.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Maybe it's just Yank operators that wear G Shocks then, but they are worn and there's plenty of testimonials to back that. It's not for e-peen or features, it's because they're extremely rugged and last and they're relatively cheap.
I'm not necessarily gonna buy either one right now as I have no money and don't NEED a watch. But I would like one and I wanna buy one that can take some abuse and won't need a new battery, or replacing any time soon. Just wondered what the consensus would be.
Oh and Zippy, thanks for correcting my acronym, I'm running a bit of a fever, so concentrating on this screen is a little tough. Also, you'd be unlikely to find me at a black tie event. I greatly dislike imposed costume/uniforms of all kinds.

I have a black Baby-G that I use for diving as I need a stopwatch that works at 40+m. The original strap was too small for my wrist so I had to cram in an adult velcro one. It suits my needs perfectly.

the display on the orange one seems a bt muted to me, not enough contrast from the casing, I like the inverted lcd colours on the black and its a lot more understated which would suit me better...

Orange one for me, black one is dull and I never think black watches look good.
