I think that 'verified by visa' scheme is a REALLY bad idea. The first time I was confronted with it I really did think it was some phishing scam-it's really dangerous. If people get used to interacting with more than one website/service during a transaction then that's opening up a golden oportunity for con-men!

I think there's something wrong with my card.

None of the transactions I have made in the last few weeks have been taken out of my account or are even pending. This includes Chip & PIN and online transactions.

I think I'll treat myself to a new Aston Martin on my card at the weekend :D

Peter.

depends when the stores do their banking, they may not show up for days or even weeks later, they can still take the money instantly though

It's strange though, because I can't imagine all of these retailers waiting weeks for their money? In the past, it's been taken within a couple of working days.

I need to decide if I want the DB9 or V12 ;)

Peter.

They may do their banking at the end of the week, I know when I was working in a small butchers and did the banking there at the end of the day/weekend sometimes it would not process all the payments and some may still be pending or there wouldnt be the time to do that days payments and it would wait until the next day or the end of the week
