if i want to see a bunch of chavs arguing, id go to downtown at closing time. the idea of people actually enjoying that makes me wonder about whether or not they are fit to be allowed outside :?

Same goes for the Jeremy Kyle Show.

We had a nice hate thread going and you had to do it didn't you? Lower the tone of the debate to the Jeremy Kyle level. Oh I feel so dirty just saying that name I am going to wash my mouth with soap.

It's absolute gash, but I'm hopeful that it at least shows the people of this country moving on a bit in terms of thinking for themselves and not getting caught up in hype - I've started noticing this trend in other peoples' conversations about £X-Factor and Britain's Got Problems :)

And the press have noticed it too, seemingly; there just isn't the coverage these things used to get. Remember how newspapers in the summer used to be with this crap?

I've no doubt it'll get resurrected at some point unfortunately, as I believe it's still running successfully enough in other countries - I'm guessing they have the sense not to try and cram all the main minority groups into each series every time...

Ooh I really hate it. I think it has to be the unremitting adverts that do it. And the stupidity of the contestants. And the Narrator. In fact, there isn't really an element of it that I don't hate.

Welcome to the forums Embryo. I will have to agree with you, the contestants are appalling. Z list wannabes.

Ifeel the lighting is at least semi-professional.

A lot of civilised countries didn't let it run past four seasons.

I guess a lot of civilised countries wouldn't have let Eastenders or Coronation Street run as long as we have.

I honestly think the producers of BB had hoped they would eventually get someone murdered on live telly.

I gave up on BB a few years ago. It's got too samey and the people that go on it just want 5 minutes of fame.

Also hate the Simon Cowell rubbish... X Factor and Britain's got no talent *resists urge to rant more*

This ex-professional lighting engineer disagrees.

I used to quite like BB. As the series went on though it seemed the producers aims were to put as many superfreaks into the house as possible (Russian Lesbian Female Boxer??). I'll watch tonight to see who goes in and if its anything like the last series I once again wont be watching.
