Shame they will ruin another excellent old series........

I dunno, can't see Crowe taking this over the pick of Hollywood's crop if there wasn't something to it, or he didn't think he could bring something to it... I'm also waiting on the A-Team reviews, though I have my doubts there :?

Dunno wtf happened with Robin Hood though - it's bad when they can't even cut a semi-decent trailer from a film

He is only doing it for the money, if he was doing it for the art he would have ensured that his accent stayed on track. :D

Have you seen Brad Pitt attempting accents? Or Don Cheadle? Or... ;)

Yes but they are not pretentious "about the art". I am lousy at maintaining an accent but if you cant do that why do any accent that you cannot maintain? There are plenty of actors and actresses that can. Hugh Laurie for one.

Have you seen Troy?

And yes, I often wonder why they spend a fortune on a Hollywood film and then make it a stinker with a laughably bad accent

Yes I have but I ignored the accents. As lovely as Diane Kruger is, Helen would not have been a blonde, under any circumstances.
