I remember my bengali friend saying that he was wanting to ask her out for me, even though I didn't fancy her and I got all panicky incase he scares her off or something, and he was like "do you want her?" etc and I just wasn't sure, she said to me that noone wants her which is weird.

So anyone have any "normal" advice what a normal person would do in this eccentric situation? It would be awesomely appreciated

I am not telling you what to do but this is what I would do:

Get your friend to ask her what is going on. I don't mean directly like:
"Hey, what are you texting Braty for? He is confused as hell!"
but more like this:
"By the way, I haven't seen Bratty recently but he mentioned that you two text sometimes. Do you know how he is?"
or something along those lines and then he can ask a bit more about what is going on in her head in relation to you etc...
As long as your friend will make it sound like the conversation is only between them you should be ok. Make sure he is cool and intelligent enough to pull it off though.

Or if you want to be sure that you get some useful info your friend can even ask more directly like:
"Braty mentioned that he was thinking about asking you out. Did he?"
This is more risky but pretty direct and you are most likely to get the answers, which is in my opinion more useful that this limbo you are in. What is the worst that could happen? She won't text you again? Doesn't seem so terrible to me in the circumstances you have described. Best scenario, she will get her act together and come clean, however it may be...

I drink 3 times a year, I have to keep it at a bare minimal incase of the risk of rosy cheeks.

Next time she asks "to do what" give her a ring and get something arranged.

I'm going to bet that she just wants a shag.

wtf? well thats not going to happan, I don't want that :(

WTF: one of you says it afterwards ;)

Ask her out, invite her with her friends and yours.... at least then if she doesn't turn up it's not a lost excursion. If I was stood up 3 times after making plans I'd punch myself in a sensible area and move on.

There's an old saying in Tennessee...I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee...that says, fool me once, shame on..shame on you. Fool me...you can't get fooled again.

Sounds to me that she's "using" you as a kind of comfort blanket - if she was serious about it she'd have done something about it by now.

1. She got 'ill' twice. I call BS.
2. When she said 'for what' either she had something in mind she wants to do (wayhay) or thinks you're a dirty little perv and wonders why you keep asking her to meet up
3. You need to be staight up. Its difficult sure but if you like the girl tell her and ask her out. If you just want to be friends then tell her that too. If you think she's confusing and messing you around then move on.

What I find hilarious is that whilst you may not want a shag and think it's disgusting behaviour, evolution psychology is the reason you are pursuing women in the first place. The object of your pursuit is a shag, whether you realize that consciously or not. The beauty of being human over animal, is the gift of a rational mind. In that mind you can decide whether you want a shag or not, but the simple truth is that without the evolutionary desire to shag, you wouldn't even talk to any of these girls ;)

Because I clearly talk to no guys, as if I talk to them and we end up shagging there's no way either of us would get pregnant and evolution can continue...

Pretty sure that kind of behaviour will land you a term in prison for cruelty to animals ;)
