Just my opinion and its mainly down to how the relationship ended but if the ex walked out on him she doesn't really get to have any say in the matter any more. Either he's her bloke or he's not. And if he's not - and that was her choice - she can't expect him to act like he is. As they are still on good terms it would be impolite to do anything obvious in front of her but beyond that... If she made the decision, she's got to live with the consequences. Course if he walked out on her then it would be... crass to try it on with her friends. As I say, all depends on how they became 'exes'. Jon

True story. Although I do appreciate the logic even if most women wouldn't. But I AM most definitely a man and I think that much is obvious to her, or I wouldn't have had the invite. She dumped me Jon. Quite tactlessly as well. Still confused by this:

I think the sisterly one was advising you that your ex may take affront should you show any sign of actually being interested in anyone else of the fairer sex while in her presence. I assume my thoughts on that matter are fairly obvious .
