I often found I'd wait for a show to come on, only to find it was crap or only had certain bits I was interested in (say Jonathan Ross), so iPlayer's ideal

Not keen on the stuff on the other channels really - I think I watch a few bits of The Gadget Show and that's it They've all got their own online catch-up services anyway if it comes to it

Well ok. We do have a TV, but it's not really a TV. It doesn't have a receiver, as my housemate was cheap! We have the Xbox, though.

Really. Pay over a significant amount of wedge each month, on top of your standard telly tax, to a major media mogul, and still have to endure advertising (and the picture disappearing if it rains). I can't see where the problem is.

I did resist Sky as long as I possibly could but watch a lot of films on it so if you weighed up the price of renting DVDs I'm probably paying the same. I don't go cinema and can rarely afford to go out so £35 for entertainment ain't too bad. I don't watch adverts, handy forward wind button

There is that. But LoveFilm seems to be a better deal right now at about a fiver a month, even though I don't subscribe.

True but they don't do E4 by post, or Comedy channel or Living or FX or ITV or Sky1... am sure you get the picture
