On a privately owned siding at Epping Tube Station, there is this:

Abandoned Loco by hairydalek, on Flickr

Some research shows that it was moved there in 2004 and restoration work began. I have to say that in the times I’ve been going to that station, I’ve not seen it improve. It seems abandoned to me. Nevertheless, a curiosity.

The funny thing about restoration projects like that is a lot goes on inside, provided the shell is sound. Mind you, the restorers may well have run out of cash...

Stupidly sliced my finger open on a pair of scissors whilst half asleep last night - I'll just leave a clicky for the curious.

Click if you'd like the state of the slice I put in my finger, after being bandaged for about 20hrs.

Nice clean cut though - one of those that don't start bleeding for a minute or so, and then won't stop for ages.

Pic is 20 hours late but never mind.

I had an accident with scissors once. Entry and exit wound right through my thumb, felt like it grazed the bone. :)

I've got a photo of a wound I witnessed and help dress from last year from a boating incident. I'll see if I can round it up.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

This is what's been occupying me in my Workshop for the past month or so. It's a model built for a client, who may well be asking me to build some more. Which is nice.

its a coincidence that your finger is pointing at the keys "ER"? suggesting your subconcious is saying "TAKE ME TO ER!!" :x

Killed it!

Was walking home from taking some pics when I spotted a squirrel on a bin. I quickly got the camera out and changed lens only to inexplicably drop the camera. On concrete.

There's physical damage to the body and lens and god knows how much unseen internal damage. When I switch the camera on the mirror flips up and down very rapidly for a couple of seconds then dies. Like me. On the inside.

Now I've got long conversations with the insurers to look forward to trying to explain/determine what my Samsung GX20 means on a new-for-old policy*

*the GX20 is the Samsung twin of then top Pentax K20D camera

FECK IT!!!  :x

I do wish you luck with the household insurance.
I think I'd be physically sick if that happened to mine.

I still feel sick! I don't think I've ever been as devastated breaking something in my life including my car.

Ouch for the camera. :(

Have you removed the neckstrap? I hate them but do use it, mostly wrapped around the wrist though.

Wow, you can even take pictures when a camera is in standby mode.
