I beg to differ - they were both interchangeable and it's only comparatively recently that this pointless differentiation has arisen.
Hanged, I'm lead to believe, is correct when someone is killed by someone else. Such as an execution.
This wasn't an execution, so hung is quite acceptable.

He's not a picture, therefore he hanged himself.

It still doesn't matter if it was someone else doing it, hanged is the process of being strangled by a noose, that's a sufficiently different process to hanging a picture, so it's not strange that it has it's own word.

So with that logic, do we need a seperate word to differentiate between riding a bicycle and a horse?

I may well be wrong, and I don't really care. :)

The Cure wrote a song for The Crow that they never play live, called "Burn".

It's my favourite cure song and I bought the crow soundtrack just for that track.

In a similar fashion, don't you forget about me was the only song simple minds didn't write themselves and they hate it.

How come the plural of "house" isn't "hice".? After all. We don't say "mouses".

I imagine that depends greatly on the quantity of filling. ;)

Wasn't much in it. Ham, a bit of grated cheese and salad.
