I remember swat kats. The best bits IIRC were the music and the jet. For some reason it reminded me a lot about biker mice from mars.

On a related note.

Star Trek TNG is on Netflix. 90 episodes which IIRC is all of them.

Considering J.J. Abrams’ money-spinning movie revival has quickly made the franchise cool again, it’s no surprise that breathing new life into the franchise’s TV roots is next on the agenda.

Will they be able to get the cast to sign on to a TV series while the movies are still going?

I was making my way through the first season a while ago, I didn't quite realise that it started in the 80s, man that [LIFTED] is old.

Forget the special features on DVDs and Blu-rays, Netflix is adding extras soon

8-) , though I can't help thinking the time and money would be better spent getting newer content...

iTunes does this too - you can buy films that have 'added features'. I don't mind getting that kind of stuff thrown in on a disc, but I damn well don't want to have to use up some of my monthly bandwidth allocation downloading the bloody stuff.

It would be a different cast, I think. The problem is that CBS owns TV Trek, and Paramount owns Film Trek. Which means no easy transition between the two (something Abrams wanted). The option to move Film Trek to TV is fraught with studio wrangling, so a TV series may well be different. BTW, both companies are owned by Viacom.

That still does not make it any easier to transfer. Apparently they barely talk to each other even though they are in the same conglomerate.

I saw something about Donald Glover not appearing so much next season. Only 5 episodes apparently.

Yeah, Donald Glover will apparently only be in 5 of the proposed 13 episodes of season 5.

Out There - Stephen Fry's show about homosexuality in the world today. It's good but it's either very representative of Fry or very manipulative. Or both. There's a lot of meetings with bogeymen that are only ever gonna be confrontational and so on, all heavily edited to the extent that one 'interview' has slightly dark laughter that survives quite a few frames ;)
