What you're talking about is momentum (ie an objects willingness to stay in its current state and not move) and overcoming this. Whether this is pushing it to speed up or slowing it down you are overcoming momentum.

You meant inertia, didn't you?

(GCE Physics O Level Failed.)

Erm, yes. :-)

I thought momentum wasn't quite right but couldn't think of inertia.

:-)

Still, the maths stands :-) gravity doesn't come into it :-)

Well, you are giving it momentum by overcoming inertia, momentum is velocity x mass ;)

I studied Arthurian Legend at university - he was basically their version of Game of Thrones, everyone in the world was waiting for the next (risqué) episode.

In fact, according to this 'ere program, it goes further, reckoning that Gawain and Arthur's story was all sort of a bit of a muddle of Italian legend involving a saint who stuck his sword in a rock, gave up fighting and became a monk.
This tale was picked up over here and woven into the tapestry of tales we had.

I've seen every episode of Breaking Bad and didn't spot this:

Characters and their values are represented by the colors they wear. Skyler is usually dressed in blue and Jesse in yellow and red (when he is in recovery, he wears gray). Walter wears green because he is stuck between his family and the drug trade. When the Whites' daughter is born, pink is introduced to the spectrum. Similar color patterns show up during the series. The DEA agents, Hank and Gomez, wear orange, representing police. Marie is usually in purple and many of the other doctors on the show are seen in it as well. And Jane, the recovering heroin addict, wears black.

Given that I was up for most of last night, I read up on some photography stuff.

I learn about chimping and pixel-peeping. I also learn about ETTR/ITTR/HAMSTTR and how POTN is a dangerous site.

Football - got badly tackled!

Thought it was broken so went to A&E - 2hrs later X-rays confirm it is badly sprained.

They tell me 2-4 week recovery time if I'm lucky :(

That where the likes of Fox still have the usage rights to make films with Marvel characters, Marvel themselves still retain the rights to make respective TV shows 8-)

It's only certain film rights that they have.
Marvel has the rights to the vast majority of it's character archive.

That's what I meant by usage rights without getting into specifics - quite possibly only the legal teams know the truth  :(

That there are two rules for success:
1. Never reveal everything you know.
