Well somehow ironically my indicators on the A4 have stopped working due to what I think is a blown relay (as opposed to typically driver not using them ;)).

What would usually be a few quid for a new relay is £40 for a full hazard switch assembly as it's built inside it

At least I got 25% off from ECP, can collect it tomorrow and with a bent butter knife fit the part so I have working indicators again

The car is starting to become a money pit though :( still need to get a garage to replace the bolts on the brake pad housing so I can get them off and get the new discs and pads on otherwise that is nearly £200 on parts I can't use...

£140 spent today on getting my cars electrics working mate. Worth it in my opinion!

Mine just seems to be going wrong randomly, fingers crossed it's not the indicator stalk itself that is broken, as that is a PITA to fix

I think it might be illegal to drive without any working indicators too ;)

I have a spreadsheet that records when I've filled up with fuel, how much mileage I've covered and hence my mpg, etc. Amongst others, it also records my fuel usage. Since starting my current post in August, I've spent £2000 in fuel alone.

Chatting to a friend who thinks the Gallardo is a better looking car than the Alfa 8c. The fool!

I was lurking and wondering if I thought I'd read what I thought I'd read. Then thought, "I absolutely have to comment on that in some way". I'm struggling to formulate thoughts. Just let your friend know they're utterly, utterly wrong and given time to rinse my inevitable hangover away I am prepared to offer a point by point rebuttal.

Do you know what, I can't be arsed they're just so wrong it's not even worth it.

Would love to but it's just little things here and there (though the gf seems to think tyres fall under that category I don't) and it's the expensive time of year when it's minor service, tax and insurance all in one month which in the past has been the disposable income for a month just gone

It's that I'm going to have to get a mechanic involved for changing the rear discs as some bolts were nearly stripped and seized and to fix the indicators cost £30 for a part that should have been under the bonnet.... not in the middle of the centre console.

Also to get a similar performance VAG car new would cost me an arm and a leg on insurance, I have no idea why but getting a new quote was almost twice the price of my renewal (£1300 vs £680) and that is in a high risk area, looking at anything close to fun levels (golf GTi, fabia vrs, Audi A3 1.8T/S3 etc) pushes it well over £1400 :( . Still holding out for a big money day so I can get a fancy new motor though ;)

On the plus side I did go from paying £65ish a month to £57 just by being a little cheeky and asking for some discount for being a returning customer ;)

In the last three days. Two cars have been serviced, needing three tyres between them, and the fridge freezer stopped working. Oh well, who needs money anyway.

Clint Eastwood is suing furniture companies for using his name, image, and persona. Clearly that's his wife and children's job:

Seems like the appropriate thread... Ever farted and immediately followed through whilst sat on the bog?

It's both scary and funny
