'71 - Not bad, it might actually have more impact if you're from the mainland just because it'll seem more unique. Good acting, well made.

Have to say though, you might as well rent it or whatever than see it at the cinema. It's one of those smaller UK productions with multiple backers and will be available quick enough I imagine.

The Equalizer

Or Taken with Denzel Washington. Disengage brain at door and it's not a bad flim.
A bit splashy in places - a bad time to be a Russian mafia henchman.

Yeah, that was the impression I got.

Escape Plan - No wonder it flopped. It's so stilted it belongs on a floodplain.

Mr and Mrs Smith - On second watch you realise the first hour is almost wasted, but their chemistry saves it combined with the shooting lol.

We (myself and SWMBO) really enjoyed it and she is not much of a Sci-Fi fan

Just been myself. There's a very good 'hard' scifi film in there, but it's mired somewhat in poor metaphors and a desire to 'Out 2001' 2001. Could do with maybe being half an hour shorter. A good story editor away from being brilliant.

Saw The Dallas Buyers Club while travelling and loved it.

Matthew McConaughey

I don't know what has happened but since his old rom com days but his roles are now amazing and his acting superb. I am now a huge fan!

He was good in A Time To Kill and The Lincoln Lawyer. Must watch Mud...

He's always been a good actor given something to get his teeth into. Under rated IMO. However I have to say in Interstellar he does look a bit.. gaunt? Much thinner faced than I remember.

He's been gaunt a while. I think he's just older and still slim.

The last time he looked healthier was Magic Mike.

The Immitation Game

Thoroughly enojyed this.
Mr Cumberbatch on good form even if you pretty much know the entire story.
