Bought a bit of polish in preparation for collecting the 'new' car on Thursday. It's black which I've been told can be a pain to keep looking nice so without turning into a car detailing nutter I've bought the usual selection of glass, wheel and trim cleaner plus a Poorboy Sample Set #6 (4oz bottles). It features a shampoo, polish, glaze and sealant. It's mainly for the Black Hole glaze as I'm told it works wonders on black/dark cars.

I'm bloody lazy with car cleaning. I use something called Demon Shine which you put on when the car is wet. Comes up nice and shiny, water beads and it's pretty quick.

+1

I might even do my expenses. And I'm stuck here beyond 5pm as there's a meeting.

Bah!

I can't do mine until I get home, or I'll miss out on some expensive taxi fares.

Turns out a few cops stood by and watched. In fairness, they were working undercover at the time:

October 8, 2013 6:10 PM
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – An undercover police officer has been arrested in connection with the motorcycle gang attack on an SUV driver last week in Manhattan, CBS News’ John Miller reported.

The cop, who has not been named publicly, was one of at least three officers who participated in the ride that made national headlines after it was caught on video and posted to YouTube.

Although the officer’s lawyer, Phil Karasyk, said Monday that the detective had only witnessed other bikers attacking the vehicle, investigators believe, after reviewing video evidence, that he banged on the SUV and broke the rear window. He is expected to be charged with criminal mischief, according to Miller, a former New York deputy police commissioner.

Today is the day IT finally produce a phone for my desk.
