Episode 6 was actually pretty good and raised my hopes, then it got pointless again with 7 really. I think I'm done with it :(

FFS. I'd given up on the show but now I'm curious

Mind you, since I can't rely on my mates to actually go to the cinema to see Thor 2 anyway...

There was an interesting documentary on BBC this evening called Strange Days: Cold War Britain, which looked at Ian Fleming's Bond novels (as well as John Le Carré's work) against the backdrop of the 60's and the real cold war. There was also a look at the Vassall scandal - which pre-dated Profumo - and the impact of the controversial drama documentary The War Game, which the BBC commissioned and then decided not to show. The clips shown were reminiscent of Threads and one can only imagine what impact it would have had if it had been shown in 1965. It wasn't shown on British TV until the mid-80's. There was also a section dealing with the Cuban missile crisis. I didn't see all of it but it looks well worth catching on iPlayer.

If anyone's interested, The War Game is on YouTube here.

There's a Mark Lawson interview with Le Carré on iPlayer too I believe, they're usually very good.

Spoiler alert for this week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

>Contains an interesting Dollhouse reference.<

He looks like a composite of Ian McKellan and Partick Stewart.
