This is the sort of reason why when people have asked about me taking photos of a special day/event., I have always said no, Ill take pictures as a guest etc but not in an official capacity.

Know thy limitations and for me thats definately not at the good enough to be paid for it territory.

But saying that even I could have done a better job than those!!!!!!

I did my sisters wedding with zero experience of doing weddings and basic kit. Still turned out better than those horrific shots mind you.

The craziest the bit about that conference is the fact they announced it on the east coast (of the US) first thing in the morning, and it sold out so quickly that all the tickets were gone and it was still only like 5AM on the west coast so all the people in California who aren't insomniacs simply didn't get a chance to but any. Yet the conference is being held in San Francisco .

Ex colleague just told me that him and Mrs are expecting a baby. I asked if it was after the 3 month stage and he said yes she's 4 months now. He said don't tell anyone so of course now I want to tell everyone but I am going to resist and just tell you guys as you don't know him. That's still OK isn't it? :D

Today is 26th anniversary of the Chernobyl melt down.
Also, I still think 4 months is early to talk about a pregnancy at work :S

Depends where you work. At my place, its advisable to tell as soon as you know because of the chemicals that are used.

It's not at work. I don't work with him anymore. It's a friend telling another friend on Skype :)
And I have resisted telling people at work as he knows them too and he said not to tell.

I'm surrounded by people talking constantly about pregnancy (amongst other things). I can't think for one second why I would want to talk about it anymore to anyone else.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Just asked about that at my work. The tight bastards knock you straight on to statutory pay on the first day of paternity leave. My old company gave me full pay for a week.
