Seems there's a consensus here. No success stories? Even partial ones?

Gong back never works. Not for girlfriends, not for football managers.

Ok - exhibit A): The accountant at work.
Her present fella (they're in their 60s) is an old flame from ~40 years ago.
However, things happened, work got in the way, careers went different places and she got married to someone else, he moved away.
She then got divorced, moved back to Devon, and randomly met fella once again.
So they're back together, and really very happy.

So who knows?

40-ish years apart effectively makes them different people. I assume Okenobi isn't planning on waiting around that long...

Oh hang on it does work sometimes.

My mates, they met at school went out for several years, went their own way for a year or so, got back together for several years.

They've been married for 3 or so years now, still happy.

My uncle is happily married to his school days girlfriend that he got back in touch with after his divorce 10 years ago.

Never tried going backwards so can't comment on this one.

With any relationship I would say listen to advice by all means but go with what you feel is right. No-one can tell you what to do and in my experience gut instincts are usually right.

Good luck!

How very girly. Thanks Caz :)

I'm not sure how I feel and I'm quite happy to just take it easy for now. Was more just interested in the discussion in general terms.

Yeah, interesting bit of discussion there. Nothing firm, but lets just say I was the right balance of cock and decent guy at my birthday the other night and consequently became rather popular.

Would you care to elaborate as to why you feel that way?
