In the Coke factory, the syrup is piped through glass tubes because it corrodes metal tubes too quickly

There's an odd coincidence; I just had a bloke at the door saying he's starting up a weekly soft drinks delivery service. I can remember them as a kid but I haven't seen one for years and years. Sort of like milkmen but they delivered pop instead. Glass bottles (bout 1 litre), you drank the pop and gave the bottles back next week. They had all sorts of flavours like Dandelion & Burdock you don't see any more - actually, did ANYONE Like Dandelion & Burdock? - and undoubtedly full of all sorts of chemicals that simply wouldn't be allowed these days.

Is this a Northern thing, or did the whole country have have a hyperactivity delivery service?

Jon

Why does printing a 480MB document take sooooo long.
It's killing my network connection.

I'm just going by what my Granddad said, he used to work for Coke-Cola...

soddit, you can indeed get it from co-op, I spent many afternoons last year and the year before sitting around the uni grounds in the middle of summer slurping from a bottle of the stuff...It's not as good as it used to be IIRC...

There's something similar over here (NI) called Maine, which results in people saying things like 'Oh, there's the Maine man!', like it's the 1970s or something

I only signed up to Flickr in February, but I find I only have to upload another 114 images to hit 1000 in my photostream.
 8-)
