Both Libs and Cons are in favour of less surveillance but how they do that is another matter.

It's not interesting. It's to be expected.

None of the big 3 will reverse the tide of liberty erosion in this country and anyone who claims to is either a liar, or doesn't have any real power.

I'd like the same law than in France to be introduced aka : It's a crime not to assist someone in need for help and you will be sued.

There's been a number of cases where people have provided help/administerred first aid uninsured and badly, and then been sued. Personally, I don't think I'd consider that at the time of any incident, but I know it concerns some people.

It is why many doctors will not admit that they are doctors when out and about. The problem is that in emergencies perfect treatment conditions do not exist and the courts have not allowance made for such.

I had a load of campaign leaflets through the letter box over the last few days. All of them are negative campaigning, each of them telling me how bad everyone else is. I have binned them all.

I actually rang the Lib Dems in London and gave them a load of abuse about just that. It's a waste of my time and theirs. That said, they are the only ones to contact me in any way. Which is pretty poor that the only communication I receive is negative.

Ernie, that article is interesting and I had, myself, considered what happens after the election. I hadn't however come to that conclusion. I think it will largely depend on the outcome. What has remained constant for me this year is that is all bollocks and your colour is irrelevant. Integrity always has a price in that game.

the only campaigning from the Tories is negative campaigning. Maybe a ban on it would be a good thing, with the loss of the right to stand at elections to put a stop to it.

How else can you say "Gordon Brown is an incompetent f**kwit" without it being negative?

I have in a roundabout way. I can't remember exactly what I said a couple of pages back, but it included this as it's one of my biggest concerns. I'm not sure if anyone will (or will be able to roll it back) in the short term. But with the Conservatives usually being the party of small government, I'm sure that would be one of their intentions.

I expect none of the politicians to wear a mic while out and about from now on. It eliminates the chances of slip ups.

Apparently, it was a Sky News mic.

I think that says it all.
