Only 10% of users know how to book-mark a web page.

TBH I don't think I've bookmarked anything recently. Firefox memorises where I've been and keeps not just the url but also the title of the page, so I can start typing epic prow and it comes up with all pages that I've recently visited bearing those words.

The reversed question mark is known as the "irony mark" or "percontation point", and was first used in 1580 by Henry Denham although I don't know which forum that was on. Also, when you write down air quotes, they're called scare quotes. Presumably for no other reason than it rhymes? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scare_quotes:ARG ⸮ !! I can preview the irony mark but not actually post it.

China has 160 cities with a population of one million or greater. The USA has nine! http://www.newscientist.com/blogs/shortsharpscience/2012/12/megacity-china.html

Many of my favourite sweets have beef in them! I don't eat beef, so that rather put the mockers on my recent nostalgic and chewy purchases. I was aware that Polos for example used to have Pork gelatine in. That was in the 70s through to the 90s, but the last time I checked they had changed to a vegetarian recipe. I had never ever seen beef gelatine listed as an ingredient before and it came as something of a shock. I'm wondering if the shift from Pig to Cow is to appease certain religious groups regardless of the annoyance to others. Or maybe it's cheaper now. Or maybe I just never noticed before? I've never bought such sweets except for a few pennies worth at the school tuck shop, where the ingredients would not have been visibly listed. I'm now searching high and low for vegetarian Dolly Mix

I've noticed the increased use of beef and pork gelatine. Any reason why you don't eat beef, or beef gelatine? In the past, the ingredients would have listed "gelatine" and I wouldn't have cared. But now they define pork and beef gelatine and neither sounds appealing.

Religious reasons. Holy cows and all that.

I'm quite surprised at that too. For some reason, I had you pictured as my old Physics teacher - caucasian, brown eyes, brown hair with frontal balding extending to crown and a thick broom moustache. So have you aligned yourself with hinduism?

It's practically the textbook definition of 'pretentious' if you have.
