I'm going to go ahead and say this is the worst trailer I've ever seen (see if you agree); may or not be because it is the worst film ever made (I don't know, I'm never going to watch it), but it certainly looks like it.

Of course this film has Michael Cera in it.

If it isn't the worst it's definitely up there, no question.

And yes, Cera films tend to be dire. They also tend to be loved by the critics who like to build up their little darlings for inexplicable reasons and despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Loved the poncey review quotes, 'Watch this! It's a totally harrowing abyss!'

Well I loved Superbad, Juno & Scott Pilgrim. I'm also working my way through Arrested Development.

*shrugs*

I'll probably like this film too. I like the quirky ones.

How about Zombieland? I thoroughly enjoyed that, although that may have had more to do with Woody Harrelsons character than Ceras.

Arrested Development's great, Superbad was just alright, and the others bored me to tears. It's more the films that really focus on him that are the problem, but as a general rule if he's in it I won't watch it.

You mean a film about a pregnant teenager isn't your thing?

I've skim-read 10 reviews of Fantastic Four and not one of them was good :( , but at least it means I won't spend half the day in the cinema on going to see MI:5.

Some mild spoiler material here for you.

I'm gonna wait until it's on Netflix or whatever, sounds like that won't be too long ;)

It's staggering that the sequel was previously greenlit - it'll be interesting to see if it makes enough money for that still to happen. Though there's suggestions of padding it out/linking it in with Deadpool and the X-Men. It sounds like Fox is trying to build a universe with what little they have.

Possibly the most hostile review of a film I've ever read.

It made me realise that Kinberg, the guy who supposedly helped get Trank removed from Star Wars, apparently has a lot to answer for himself if the script's that bad. Doesn't matter how good or bad you are at directing with a script like that...

I wonder how Fox are gonna handle future FF films. There's no way they're just gonna drop it, not when they're slaying with X-Men, Deadpool, and possibly Gambit. A Sony-style move would take all the pressure off and enable a sequel after some mainstream cameos, plus bring them back under Marvel's PR umbrella. But that would take years, and apparently one of Marvel's honchos absolutely hates Fox, so he's a real problem.

My best guess is Fox will go for a massive team-up if they can get Deadpool and Gambit to work. They must be thinking along the lines of Avengers, Justice League at this point. My guess is that's why FF2 was announced so early and why Kinberg featured so heavily.

I'm rapidly coming to terms with the fact I'll likely not see a standalone Silver Surfer film.
Which is a shame, because as portrayed in the Rise of the Silver Surfer Fantastic Four film, it was really rather good.

I still don't understand why they have to continually reboot these series. The previous FF only made 2 films and was only a couple of years old, why a reboot now? After 20 or 30 years, I could understand a reboot, but every two or 3 years? You never get anywhere, you just continually retell the same story.
