Morning all

Well the flood waters have subsided (a bit) so made it into work - so with every silver lining there is a cloud

Greetings.

Our central heating boiler went phut over the weekend. There's a man coming out this afternoon, and hopefully he'll be able to fix it. Meanwhile, we've been keeping the chill at bay with a couple of oil radiators and cat cuddling. :)

In other news, my workbench has been cleared ready for the next project to take its place. I'm wondering whether now would be a good time to strip back the bench and sort it all out. I've been meaning to do it for a while, and now would be opportune.

Anyway, onwards and sideways.

Morning all.

Early to work & looks like I'm going to be the only one here for a bit. This could be fun.

Morning.

The heating man came by yesterday. Apparently, it could be either the fan or the air pressure switch, or both. We elected to have both replaced. If the fan is replaced and the switch turns out to be faulty, that's two visits. Change them both, that's one visit.

Anyway, while he was here, the heating began to work again. We ran it until the fan seized again, and reverted to the oil radiators after. The man'll be here Wednesday morning to do the repairs.

In other news, I have begun the process of clearing the workbench with a view to replacing the poor old two-seater settee that's been acting as legs for several years. More space for storage, my feet, and easier to clean.

Onwards and Tuesday.

Greetings.

The central heating will be mended today, hopefully. I guess we've been lucky the weather has been fairly kind to us round here this past few days.

Operation Workshop Revamp is under way. I've been clearing crap out, and ordered some furniture bits to make it more comfortable. The stuff won't be here for a week or more, so I'll have to get on with some work while I wait!

Onwards and sideways.

Morning all,

I've updated my CV and have started to apply for jobs. Three years in this place and there's still no sign of me getting the full time hours I was promised during my interview. Enough is enough.

Have a great day everyone.

:)

Edit to add: OK, half an hour has passed and I've just received a phone call inviting me to an interview on Friday...

Fingers crossed! :D

Morning.

The heating was fixed, then it wasn't again. We seem to get bursts of heating, then we have to revert to Plan A and use the oils radiators. Happily, apart from the hot water, we've managed to keep the house comfortable.

I hope it will be fixed soon. This is getting boring.

Onwards and [enter preferred direction here]!

Morning all,

Day 11 of consecutive work, I think I'm beginning to lose it a touch
