When I was TDKR someone left with a young child about 1/3 in to the film. Child needed one of those seat risers to see the screen.

Cinemas in Oz typically have half price seats on Tight Arse Tuesday.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Well in London it is £8 for an afternoon ticket. Though my cousin suspects when he will qualify as a pensioner in a few years time even the pensioner discounted ticket will be that amount.

Parking. I went an update course last year (review of the latest changes to guidelines, new research etc). It was in Birmingham city centre so I just caught the bus in and out. Lasted all day (9-5ish). This year, it's being held at a hotel near the NEC where we will have to pay for parking. £15!!! I suspect most will just pay but complete PITA. I considered going by public transport but it is a load of faff - would have to catch bus into city centre and then either a train or a bus out, then catch a shuttle bus to the hotel. I paid £200 for the frikkin' course!

I just put on a DVD I paid good money for. Before you could get to the main menu, there was an advert. Not a trailer, an advert. For mars bars.
WHAT THE [LIFTED].
Do they seriously expect people not to pirate stuff when they pull idiotic stunts like that?

+1
It's the ones with the anti-piracy advert that really p*** me off, and they have the cheek to disable the option to skip to the menu or next chapter so you have to sit through it!! The movie industry are their own worse enemy.

This has been the problem for many years but they failed to learn.

At least with a VCR you could always fast forward.

+1 Thankfully on the House DVD I was watching earlier that's at the end so I just hit eject.

Flippin postie. Am awaiting delivery of a wax and it should have arrived today. I'm sitting at home, hear the letterbox, run to it - no postman around but attempted delivery note left. Apparently, I'm going to have to wait 48 hours. Feck that. I'm gonna go see if it's there now.

Well what's scary is that I went to the depot to pick up the packet. Ordinarily the guy knows me to the point where he doesn't check my ID. Today he didn't even bother to check the card/address. He saw I walked in, went to the shelves, picked up the parcel and gave it to me whilst I still has my delivery notice in hand waiting to give it to him.
