Amazon has only made some $5 billion since its inception over ten years. Apple makes that on average every month.

Amazon are running a hysterically low margin business at the moment. I worry a little what will happen when the only places left to buy stuff are Amazon and Tesco. i can't imagine either of them being very socialist about it, somehow.

(said the man waiting for two Amazon parcels this morning...)

While that might be very true I have found that eBay are currently cheaper. (said the man waiting for two eBay parcels this morning...)

RE: Amazon. I just ordered a book. It cost £1.98. They are sending it to me by courier. No wonder they aren't making any sodding money.

I suspect they have a deal with the courier that means it may be cheaper to courier items than go via RM.

But that's half the point and they'll know it. They care more about if your worst is good enough rather than finding out if your best is amazing.

Something I learnt today:
A 17 year old in my photography class didn't know who Adolf Hitler was, or what the holocaust was.
(We're looking at war photography in a few weeks.)
Cue a brief history of the second world war, and a little bit about the present Greek situation.

That was No The Nine O'Clock News, and, as always, there were complaints about it.

From hedgehog lovers.

I would if I could, but I'd skin them first!! Very tasty I'm lead to believe, like a little wild bore.

The trick that gypsies use is to cake it in clay and roast it, then when they have finished the spines come out as they are stuck in the clay.
