I spent 59p on an app that uses the accelerometer to measure bed movements.

Not for this activity though - for sleeping.

It measures your movements in bed to determine your sleep cycles, and wakes you at a good point during the cycle.

Now what I need is an app that combined the two. To wake her up when I get to the good bit.

:D

You don't need an app for that, you need a calendar :P.

Older readers may remember that I wanted a bird app.

I wanted it to have pics and bird calls and stuff.

Well someone made it. The British Bird Field guide. £5

It even has a button to trim the guide to here and now. So you only get pics of birds that are know to be at your geolocation and at the current time of year.

I am well chuffed.

8-)

Seriously this thing is great. You can add notes on where and when you sighted the birds. It has links to the Wiki page on each bird. It has pictures of male, female and juvenile for each species and it costs less than even a basic field guide book.

There are some more features that I would like but this a great app for the cash.

I have now done the Email thing.

You can already mark each bird as "seen". I want a grid view so I can see at a glance what has been ticked off. I am not much of a "twitcher" but it would a nice feature to have.

I bought Tube Refund for 59p. Great little app that does what it says on the tin. The best bit is that all your details are stored in the app so all you need to do is fill out the details of the delay, hit submit and that is that.

I am enjoying Plant v Zombies, though it is getting hard now.

The early levels were so much easier.

:(

You just need to work on how you approach the level :)

On playthrough 2 and farming money :D

Just been into town to look at getting a smart phone.
I've ruled out the iPhone but still have to pick between:
    HTC - HD2
    HTC - Desire
    Nokia N900
Though the Nokia is an outsider due to it's thickness and contract cost.

Out of those 3 I'd get the HTC Desire. The HD2 won't be able to run Windows Phone 7 so it will be stuck with an obsolete OS.

I also found the HD2 clunky compared to the iphone & android. The Nokia is a bitch to setup.

I was heading towards the HD2 until I read the reviews on Vodafone's website.
I'll also have to query their price plans.
Quote:
For just £30 you get a whopping 600 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited Mobile Internet and webmail.

If that's true, why on the previous page are they saying:
Quote:
Buy today and get
+ Online exclusive - this plan includes 300 extra minutes
+ 500MB of mobile internet and webmail

Why would I need 500MB of mobile internet if it's unlimited in the price plan?

EDIT

Just asked them - 500MB is the fair usage policy. Hardly unlimited, but probably more than enough for me. I'll check out T-Mobile's prices too.
