Yeah I saw that.

Did you see the video on the same website?

He asked three or four times if Button would pass if he dropped back and was told no each time.

Very interesting.

Not surprised he was a bit pissed at the end of the race.

He didn't look drunk to me.

Fantastic laps from Hamilton and Weber.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Well that page said it's not clear when the transmissions were made - this could have been after Hamilton had regained the lead.

I've not seen the video though.

McLaren fined $10,000 for Hamilton not making it back to the pits.

Interesting race today, although it sometimes looked more like stock-cars than F1.

Schumacher was naughty with his driving after leaving the pits, but it was just hard racing- and he came off worse- but his taking out Massa was disgraceful, unnecessary and uncalled for and he should be punished, IMHO.

The pit-lane entrance incident- can't remember who it was, but you'll know it if you saw the race- where one driver cut across the other was appalling and there is absolutely no excuse for that sort of driving. It was probably not as dangerous as it looked, given how dangerous F1 racing actually is and what the drivers are used to, but it looked damn close.

I am glad that I'm back into F1 (now that refuelling has been dropped) and I'm enjoying the season so far- which I almost gave up on after Bahrain (yawn!)

Well done Lewis and McClaren, again.

Very enjoyable and there seemed to be something happening on every lap. I think the MSC/MAS incident wasn't as bad as it looked, MSC had moved once on the straight but at the corner he was moving across to take the best line. I think the question is who turned into who at the point of contact. It was far enough down the field for me to not really be bothered about catching highlights, I'll just read the headlines when the stewards have made their decision. They'll be busy tonight.

That was Kubica and Sutil, I think - and it was very dangerous driving by Kubica IMHO. Let's see if he's punished for that move.

Yeah, I enjoyed it. Good race with plenty of overtaking and shunts. Bit of a shocking race by Schumacher - his worse of the season. I hope the stewards look into one or two of his moves today, cos they were out of order.

Cracking race by McClaren, though I thought they'd made a mistake opting to start on the soft tyres, especially when there was no safety car this time (unusual for the Canadian track), so glad it worked out for them. Great move by Button on Alonso, who seemed to be caught out somewhat. Lewis never made a mistake all afternoon and fully deserved his 1st place, but can't believe how tight it is at the front, especially in the drivers standings.

Shame that Massa couldn't translate his obvious speed advantage into a decent finish position, but his start was messy taking off Liussi (no idea if that's spelt right!).

All in all, a great race.

I was surprised just how far back the Red Bulls finished - looks like they cut it fine with fuel, as Vettel didn't make it back to the pits after the race.

Cracking race for McLaren though, and Alonso is looking stronger.

Regarding Schumacher, they should throw the book at him. His actions mirrored the height of his cheating days, when he would bump his rivals off the track rather than see them win. It was glorious to see the two Force India cars take him out of the points.

It looks as though Vettel had a gearbox problem, although no indication yet that it is the same as what gave Webber a 5 place grid-start penalty. I can't find the link but I'm sure I read it recently. :?

Yeah, the radio call did say they were managing an issue, rather than saving fuel.

Reliability cost them the championship last year, it looks like it could do the same this year.

Qulaifying again was brilliant.

Excellent race. Thought the strategy for Lewis and Button was all wrong when the softs started to lose a lot of time but it came good in the end. Some nice scraps too all through the field.

Havent we got a boring street circuit coming up next?

Valencia in two weeks. I've not seen a GP from that track yet so I've got an open mind.

I agree with all you peeps it was a good race yesterday, most enjoyable and a good example of how to turn round a strategy when it's gone wrong.
