I registered back when they were on Compuserve, back in the mid 90s! I think 94.

I think I registered on the Dennis site nearly nine years ago... Gulp doesn't time fly.

I'm making Pad Thai for dinner tonight, I have various chores that need doing but a really hectic week going on with at least 2 things I really don't want to do. I have to cra about 2 extra days worth of work and chores into the week and I don't get to relax until Sunday after we've got home from visiting my parents. It's Mothers Day before I get paid again and we have a chicken run to build and a coop to fit out before the new additions arrive on the 24th. So much to do, so little time, so little support and so little money. I'm a little concerned about the outcome of this month!

So the camera and lens were your whole system and not just spare or unwanted?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Why such things as a USB/mini HDMI adaptor with a 90° angle on it exist, but I can't find a simple HDMI->mini HDMI with a 90° angle in it.

I think that is the D7000 you're thinking about, and it is the descendant of the D80 and D90. It has better ISO, more FPS, a better battery and has AF in video mode (D80 had no video and D90 had video without AF). AF also has more points but that is what I can remember off the top of my head. I'm happy with this line so far so would get one if I was buying now, but now doubt it will have been revised a couple of times by the time I need to.

Prices are not quite as low as 600 though.

Hopefully it's producing better quality video than the D90 too.

What on earth happened to the west indies cricket team. Just watched fire in Babylon, one of the best things I've watched in a long time.

Just found out one of my best friends had a heart attack yesterday.

Haven't spoken to him yet but he is doing well apparently. 38 years old, not overweight at all and gets a reasonable amount of exercise. It will probably be blamed on smoking and/or work stress.

Or drugs?

No offence, but I've seen two people in their thirties with heart attacks caused by cocaine, and one person in his midthirties with a stroke caused by cocaine.
