Keiffer Sutherland springs to mind but only because I felt the book felt like a series of 24. A slightly rugged version of this guy ... CLICKY ...is what I imagine Reacher to be like. Hmm... maybe not exactly but something a bit like him.

There's been 2 since then - 61 Hours and Worth Dying for http://leechild.com/books.phpNoooooo Sutherland is far too small for Reacher. Don't forget he's over 6"5 and built like a brick sh*thouse. I'm going to have a think about this...

You won't be disappointed in any of the books. I get through them so quickly because they hook you from the start. My impression of Reacher is someone like Tommy Lee Jones. He's got the charisma and presence to do the character justice.

Currently reading the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Really enjoying it at the moment and it is making the commute less unbearable.
Looking forward to the next 2 books in the series. Also the new Sam Braun book and The Golden City by John Twelve Hawks are on my reading list.

I hadn't realised this had been released. I've added it to my reading list (I enjoyed the first two in the series)

61 Hours is cracking. I'm only 80 pages in and already I'm thinking it's one of the best. If they did make a movie I'm thinking some [LIFTED] house like a WWE wrestler.... only has charisma, personality and can act I just noticed last night too that they've turned another series of books I like into a TV drama. Mark Billinghams DI Thorne.

Yeah but I think he's a bit too skinny and pretty lol. I've always pictured him as quite a stocky guy. It needs someone with blue eyes but that could be sorted with contact lenses. There was a picture of his outline on the cover of one of the books but never of his face so it's left to the imagination. It would be hard to find someone fill his boots that's for sure.

Just started to re-read the Peter F Hamilton Dreaming Void Trilogy as have ordered the 3rd book from Amazon so I will get back up on the story before delving into the final book.
Given the complexity of the story lines and the number of characters that he has in his books I find a need to re-read the old books esp as they take 18 months or so to come out. IT also makes them good value as each is around 650 (Hard Back sized) pages long.
Other than that I am reading the Greg Keyes “Briar King” Series

I was thinkinig someone like Matt Damon (Jason Bourne), not too pretty, but built a bit better and taller.

Cool, this thread reminded me I've been waiting for the new Culture novel by Iain M Banks and it turns out it's been released. Although a hardback may look out of place with all of his other paperbacks that I have.
