Did it say: 'Will buy drinks for sex' Apparently they don't work very well, according to another of our conversations while hard at work yesterday. One guy said it attracted more men than women.

I got the job! I knew the telephone interview was being broadcast to a room of people due to the echo, but they obviously liked what I said. I just kept it light-hearted and quite humorous. Thanks, Peter.

Thanks all! I was just surprised I got such a fast response from them.
I've been working in the garden today and have got a thorn in my thumb. With a sharp needle, I've tried digging it out, but it won't budge. Is it safe to just leave it?
Peter.

It's not safe to leave it in indefinitely, but you may well find that as the surrounding tissue starts to fester it'll be easier to dig out. I had one stuck in for a couple of days quite recently, but it came out in the end. I wouldn't worry too much unless it's still there in a few days, or if it starts to really look nasty. Of course, I'm not medically qualified - just clumsy with lots of experience of splinters and prickles. Oh yes, congratulations from me too! Is it a phone orientated job?

Thanks for that advice. It doesn't look too sore at the moment, just red and a bloody big thorn, so I'll leave it a few days before digging it out. Thank you very much! No, it's just an IT Support job in a large call centre during the winter evenings to keep me out of mischief. Peter.

Well, yes and no I get a workstation in the centre of the office and the call centre agents can press a switch on their desk to attract my attention if their system isn't working properly. I then find their desk and tell them to restart their computer until the problem is resolved. Peter.

Well, that's f*cking sh1te. First ride back today, practising for the big end of year race. So numpty me forgets to check over my bike, and just goes out. No brake fluid in the front brake is deffinately FTL, as I landed off a jump with no brake, carried straight on, rode up the top of a berm and got my foot stuck between the bottom of the bike and the top of the berm. A couple of broken toes and a broken guider thingie is deffinately a piss poor end to the year.
