I'm going to have to disagree with you there

I don't think it works on any level

I second this. It's amaze balls. Used to work at a pub nearby, and it was a favourite place to visit between shifts. Great space.

There are some amazing buildings out there. I was considering being an architect when I was younger. It is why I am the only person in the world with amnesia that finds their way to specific buildings using architectural features, not names or other features. I cannot use landmarks but something different about a building is how I find my way home. You can tell the age of a building pretty well by looking at some of its features, such as chimney stacks, windows or drainpipes.

Are musicians better at learning languages?
I do think musicians are better at speaking languages well as they are more trained to copying sounds and rhythms of languages.

Can only go by anectdotal evidence but the "idiot" in our class at school was someone who excelled at music and languages. Had no social skills, credentials or friends though, and he was universally crap at everything else.

There are certainly overlaps between the two activities. I think they are both something that lend themselves to extrovert tendencies, people who are comfortable around others and comfortable with sharing their feelings, will feel more comfortable doing both activities than introverts. They are both a performance that will naturally be judged by all those in the audience.

While I think with a little time, I could pluck out a passable Jimmy Eat World, there's no flipping way I'm ever going to join a band. And I am [LIFTED] at learning languages, because I lose interest and get frustrated with not being able to use the full range of my collection of metaphors or show off my indomitable vocabulary, wearing the adopted straight jacket that is a foreign language. ;)
