The pictures I've seen of the Tumbler aren't encouraging :| , and I've just remembered I have a scale Hotwheels version still boxed crying out for shelf space

Rumour: Warner Bros wanted Ben Affleck to play Batman in Justice League

No crazier than any other rumour, and the guy completely turned his life and career around in recent years and would more than deserve a shot.

I like it, but the price is ridiculous.

I have the three Batmobiles to date, including the Tumbler. Not bad models, I think. When I have a spare moment, I'll take a camera to them. I'll buy the ones in Smiths, but the idea of 80 Batmobiles is just a bit too much.

We have a market stall here that seems to get bits from part works. Right now it seems to be tanks they have. I expect the Batmobiles will appear at some time. I'll pick out the ones I want from there.

The price is high because it's a big kit. That's 8p per brick which is at the lower end of what Lego charge. It's actually about the same price it was when I was a kid, over 30 years ago!

Also, that's the "coolest" that Robin ever looked!

I'd love to see the Tumbler pics if you do get a chance :)

Have you seen the prices for some Lego kits on Ebay? Some kits are above £1200 now.

I suspect that's because they make so few of them knowing their likely sales figures...

I am surprised that Lego do not reissue them.

Christ, that sort of money got you two enormous, better constructed/detailed pirate ships in the early 90s

It looks great, but it also looks like half a set (especially the more modular, holed bricks at the bottom), or some serious skimping was going on. The nephew has a few of the £60-70 services sets and they're exactly the same in the sense that it's about as much as they could literally save on the back end.

Something like pirate ship 6423 only had half the number of pieces though. This really is a very big kit.

In the video, the creator does say it was difficult to design it down to the price. I think they did a pretty good job really.

No no, the original of that was something like 900 pieces and cost £50-60, cos I remember the look on my dad's face

Yeah - that's about half the number of pieces (this is 1619 pieces for £120) for about half the price.

And like I said that got you two pirate boats (there may have been three in total, I remember a 'blue' design and possibly a 'black', memory weakens...), sturdy buggers too ;)
