Have thought of another one... Liam Neeson! He would be perfect for Jack Reacher.

Well he is now but when he was younger he would've been good.

There don't seem to be any young, built guys anymore - you would need someone like Dolph Lundgren or A slightly smaller Arnold - who could act, had charisma etc, but all the action heores now are like models - scrawny...

Ryan Reynolds? He should be suitably bulked up these days (he likes his comic book roles): Or Chris Hemsworth?: I should point out I've never read the books

*cough* I"m not sure anyone could accuse Arnhuld of being able to act. IMO, you can take a good actor, stick them in a gym for a few months and they'll look up to the job (and if they aren't quite right you can always post process it like they did for 300) . You can't take a dumb 250 pound lump of meat and make them a good actor. Actually, why not get a decent, young Scandanavian actor to play Thor? A lot of people from there speak really good English - better than Arnold did in the early days - and every Scandanavian bloke I've met seemed to be at least 6 foot. Better than just getting a 'star' to do it who may in fact be totally wrong in all sorts of ways. Jon

Is it because Kenneth Branagh is the director and there's always been something a little 'off' about him?

+1 and at last someone agrees with me. I thought all blokes like Arnie. He's one of the most one dimensional wooden actors to ever appear on screen. Can't stand him!

Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday and I made a similar tweet, came into this thread to see if anyone had mentioned it and lo and behold...

Reading the new digital T3 magazine on the iPad, which is very impressive. I don't know if that counts as a 'book' or not. The book I am reading is this one, because I've forgotten most of it and need to get some stuff done. Paper books are old hat though y'know

I'm gonna wind up changing the title to 'What publications are you reading or looking forward to?', aren't I? Feel free to talk about mags, ebooks, whatever . I've gotten back into that Vic Coren book about making a porno film, and am also reading FHM and Private Eye
