You can still change the battery on a lot of phones. Though I must admit I'm a tad nervous about having just bought my first phone where I can't change the battery.

My Sony P910i had a replaceable battery but I never changed it. It is not necessary to be able to change the battery. For me that is an unnecessary option. The only reason most people take the battery out is to change the sim.

My current SE phone (Vivaz Pro) occassionally freezes and the only way to reset it is to pull the battery so I'm a little nervous about a phone with a non-removable battery. If it locks up you presumably have to let it run out of juice on its own

In here's being fitted for radiators, which not only means those of us with the full blood quota will be sweating, but that there will be even more dust about than usual

That is valid reason, but how often do you need that? So far I have not needed it.

When I got my iPhone, it kept crashing and the only option was to remove the power - which meant waiting a day or two until the battery had drained. Apple had it back for repair 3 times in the first 4 weeks, keeping it each time for 2 weeks and they couldn't find the problem, until I became very loud in the shop and they "magically" found the problem and replacd it, after a further 2 weeks of investigation!

Tesco special offers that are expired by the delivery date you've already set. Why doesn't it show you just the offers you can actually get? All the other supermarkets manage it! Every bloody offer I've added so far expires today, and it's not showing me any offers that might start tomorrow!

And the stupid substitutions have started before I've even placed the order. "Tahini is unavailable. Why not try these cornichons instead?" WTF? Nearly as good as the nail file being substituted for nail polish remover!

I dropped any substitutions from Asda for that reason.

Asda are genrally a better bet, but it's a pain in the ass that both tend to stock what the other doesn't!

Amen to that. There are things I can only buy in each of the three stores I use, so I have to alternate my orders. Luckily they all do the fresh stuff that doesn't keep, so I can just stock up on the other bits.

Half way through the shop. *sigh* . I hate shopping for basic boring stuff :|

I use that mysupermarket site to shop and occasionally the same basket can be cheaper with Asda or Tesco. So I end up switching who I buy from. Though Tesco substitutions are better than Asda's from my experience, plus the Asda price can be more than you budgeted for. Never found that with Tesco.

If I'm not careful pretty much any time I try to access the internet with my phone.
For some reason it's advisable to cycle the power before trying to connect. Do so and it works fine every time, forget and more often than not the phone locks up and requires the battery to be pulled.

That seems bizarre for a smart phone.

*groan* a normally interesting friend has given up smoking.

And now there's a post every time he DOESN'T do something. I have managed to not smoke every minute of every day for 28 years. Not one post. Because that's how [LIFTED] interesting not smoking is. Now off you jolly well piss for a while until you go suspiciously silent and start sucking on your horrendously expensive cancerous nipple replacements again.

I've seen that happen with various phones and people, me included...
