To be honest I'd be more likely to try Linux.
Partly because I could try live CD's to see if I like it, and partly because I like to spent a lot of time researching and buying the exact hardware I want.

To be honest, these days, I have pretty much zero preference - I'll use and moan about whatever I have available.

AFA I'm concerned, Linux, Windows and OSX are all crap and quite simply not good enough.

I thought DOSSHELL was the best thing ever. It was DOS with pictures, and it ran quite happily in 0.64mB

My favourite version of Windows was 2.01 because it had Othello by default

Bizarre internet craze 'planking' claims its first victim after man plunges from balcony to his death

Quote:
Acton Beale, 20, fell from the balcony of a block of flats in Brisbane, Queensland, after he tried to 'plank' on some railing.

This is thought to be the first time someone has actually died from the growing craze in which people lie face down in unusual place before taking pictures and uploading them onto the internet.

Sounds like he did a pretty realistic job. More here.

Another one: Man fighting for his life after attempting internet craze on moving car

Quote:
Simon Hallam, a plasterer from the northern New South Wales town of Inverell, fell while 'planking' on the boot of a fast-moving car and is now in an induced coma in an intensive care unit.

Police said witnesses had told them that Mr Hallam was attempting to 'plank' - lie prone, face down - on the boot of a sedan car moments before he fell heavily, striking his head.

I know a few of you will have seen this on Facebook, but I thought it was worth re-posting here.

Many people forget how dangerous a simple trip is. To break two arms, an ankle, his nose, jaw and a leg, some ribs then to lose several teeth is quite freaky. People should be more careful.
