Console yourself with the knowledge that a pub run by such an utter tosser is very likely to close down some time fairly soon the way things are.

^^^ Recently had a glass bottle bounce off my hip, thrown from a car. And tonight an idiot threw coins at me across four lanes of traffic. It does leave you wanting to smash in what little brains they have left. Though where I live, a virus with gene-targetting capabilities would be more efficient long-term.

Just went into a pub I'd never been into before in my local area for a pub quiz. Walked away from the bar after buying 3 drinks and the landlord muttered "faggot" under his breath, audible on purpose.

I felt like breaking a chair over his head but he'd have probably still beat me up as he was a fat bald huge bastard, but my blood was boiling I can tell you, at the sheer ignorance, pointlessness and bigotry of it. Needless to say, I shan't be spending my money in there ever again, I suddenly felt like I was on the school playground again, it's a world I left behind a long time ago thankfully.

For the record I'm not gay, but obviously part of his subconscious was attracted to me, the well-groomed picture of masculine perfection that I am.

I would have ignored it. Though having lived in the gay capital, Brighton, getting wolf whistled is an occupational hazard and maybe he was being complimentary in his homophobic way? /s

I used to go to a gay bar in Birmingham when I lived there as a mate of mine (who was) worked there so I would pop in some time to chat and have a drink after work. I used to think of it as a compliment if any of the clientele that did not know me (those that did knew I was straight) tried to chat me up

That is the only way to take it, as a compliment.

When I first started visiting my wifes, (girlfriend at the time) place of work, and this is before people knew we were an item, many people, of both genders, would stop her in the corridors and ask her who the hunk was ;)

What can I tell you? I can't help being subliminally attractive to everyone!

Ok, so firstly the rnib don't just employ blind people, and also have you never seen the video for Lionel Richie's song "Hello"?

Now I think about it, don't you remember watching the Daredevil movie? Actually, that's probably a bad example as it's so poor.

I await your reply with baited breath. Actually, that's a lie. I'm still really sick and possibly trying just a little too hard to prove to the world that, even at death's door, I still have a sense of humour.

I am considering getting a 3D printer at some point in time, but a gun is last on my list of things to make with it. There are plenty of other things that I am looking into making first. It could be brilliant for spare parts etc or temporary items. Though until I have a long list of uses it all seems expensive right now. This person clearly found a use for it but the police must have assumed that anyone who has one is a terrorist.
