Are you buying this series? Is it all as crazy as it appears? Perhaps I'm missing something but in many years of reading comics I've never encountered anything as demented as Batman:Odyssey.

I didn't know it existed until I stumbled across that article, have you been buying it? In my totally gut reaction opinion, DC has fallen into the sort of trap that's afflicted loads of Yank TV shows, in that one possibly good concept will get you a whole run, even if the story is just made up as you go along (see Lost, Heroes, The Event...) Even worse, as with the aforementioned shows, people cling on to the bitter end convincing themselves that it'll all get better and fearing they'll miss something great otherwise, like some battered spouse. You only have to look at the utter drivel they've let Grant Morrison knock out since 2007, and that's been Batman's entire path in recent years* As it stands today, they'll probably have to have another 'Crisis' just to get back onto some sort of sensible playing field, the equivalent of Bobby Ewing stepping out of the shower and everyone pretending the last few years of bollocks pretty much didn't happen. And that's not just Batman either; the silly gits made him integral in the lives of almost their entire mainstream roster... * I could keep up with it via Batman Legends here in the UK, but really I was only buying it for the smaller stories towards the back pages

I'm seriously tempted if it goes cheap enough - some of those panels shown were just (unintentionally?) hilarious

Kate Beckinsale would give her a run for honour of ultimate MILF, in my opinion.

Fox remembers it owns the rights to make another Daredevil movieby Sean O'Neal March 16, 2011 Although 2003’s Daredevil is generally regarded as something of a bursting point for the comic-book movie bubble, one that—along with other mid-‘00s films like Catwoman, Fantastic Four, and its spinoff Elektra—set up Batman Begins to be seen as something of a renaissance, the movie actually made a decent amount of money and the character still has an avowed following who thinks that someone could do it right if they tried. So not surprisingly, 20th Century Fox is now looking to press another Daredevil McNugget with director David Slade (30 Days Of Night, Twilight: Eclipse) at the helm, perhaps as something of a consolation prize for losing out to Darren Aronofsky on The Wolverine Although labeled a ”continuation” of the original, the new Daredevil will ostensibly have nothing to do with the first film: Ben Affleck most assuredly is not returning to the role of the blind superhero, having stated in 2006 that “wearing a costume was a source of humiliation for me and something I wouldn't want to do again soon,” and that was before he became a hotshot director who doesn’t need this crap. In 2008, however, Jason Statham publicly campaigned for the role—to Frank Miller’s endorsement—and you can probably guess that Statham’s interest had a lot to do with the efforts to revive the franchise. We wouldn’t be surprised to hear his name attached to it soon. So yeah, despite being a “continuation,” there’s not really much of a common thread here—though maybe this incarnation will make up for his getting cut from the theatrical version by bringing back Coolio? http://www.avclub.com/articles/fox-reme ... r-d,53246/'Who will we get in to resurrect a character that failed last time, but could potentially be massive, while also neatly tying in with our other projects? I know, a complete hack!' @ the complete stupidity...
