Almost bought a Blu-Ray (Sony BDP-S360 £159 - Xmas pressie from the missus) but she thinks it would be better to get the PS3. Looking around there seems to be a pretty good deal at Argos on the 120GB model. Its £244 and a few pence and you get Little Big Planet and another game chucked in from a selection of Fifa 10, Unchartered 2 or NFS: Shift.

Amazon have a good PS3 deal I believe (if it's still going)...

Aye, you can get the 250gb model for 269 at the moment. I'm hanging on until christmas deals start popping up.

I think VAT goes back up in January as well doesn't it? Christmas may well be a good time to buy.

I'm not too bothered about the 250gb model as I've got an Xbox for proper gaming (mwah hah hah) so keeping it under £250 means I can still play the odd PS3 exclusive between watching blu-rays.

Would you consider a 2nd hand one then if the HDD isn't too much of a consideration? Maybe the upcoming vid store (this month) and the purchased game downloads are important to you though...

No worries, I was looking at the PS3 bundles as they have some stonking console bargains atm, especially if you price it right you get a £200 console + approx £150 of stuff for £200 :) (£70 wireless entertainment kit and £40 a game)
