I thought that'd been true since it launched? Definitely remember seeing billboard ads that said (basically) 'buy a Note and get a free Gear' some time ago.

IIRC, that's because they made the MP free to play... Updates such as that are why I'd have to seriously consider ever buying into next-gen.

A council employee (fairly senior) looked me in the eye and announced that after this amazing TED lecture she'd seen, she now thinks that there's no need for teachers in the class room.
All children need is a computer connected to the cloud, where grand mothers will offer words of encouragement. There should be a ratio of 4 children per computer.
All lessons will be delivered from the cloud, and the cloud will remotely control things like room access and lighting, heating.
This woman is also a governor at a local school.
I wish I could be at the meeting where she announces this.

My workplace has decided to fire all the agency workers in January. Apart from being an obvious FAIL, it also succeeds in that regard by virtue of having happened before. Twice.

What a wonderful Christmas present for the agency staff. So how long before you reckon that they will rehire them again?

Not in Norway. The Yank who turned up two days ago is having a hell of a problem with his. Almost no shops take it and so far he's only found one cash machine that will take it.
