Had a text from Mrs W00. She's been sat in a plane on the runway at Gatwick for several hours, unable to take off.

This is why I never fly home for Christmas. Stupid time of year for family reunions with people literally dying to see each other.

Well snowing here but not heavily right now. Starting to cover the grass. Pavements covered already.

I guess that is because of the low temperatures. Normally grass gets covered before roads or pavements.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Yes it was -3 here last night and -2 now so it meant the pavements were conducive to snow actually settling and not melting.

I'm going to the pub. I'm not going to let 6 inches of snow, drifts half way up the doors and freezing temperatures stand between me and a pint (or six).

*shouts* right dear, get the car out - I'm off drinking..........

Al

Not snowing at the moment but it is pretty damn cold outside. Apparently it could dip as low as -7°C overnight. Feels like that now.

Well I used weather vane and menu weather and both show it as -10C already.

I am glad I have one of these now

We've finally had some in the north west. Really good quality powder too. Unfortunately where I live isn't steep enough for sliding :(.

Snow is fun!
It's more fun with added jet fighters - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85FxLsHU8us. And sledges.
